Dates Full Of Snicker Cover Chocolate
These stuffed chocolate-covered Snickers dates are made with real food ingredients and taste better than a real Snickers bar. Vegan + gluten-free.
Halloween is very close and I know it can mark the beginning of the crazy holiday eating habits. We often focus on sugar on Halloween, find out why we do not continue to indulge in all kinds of Thanksgiving recipes, and as the New Year approaches we realize that we were sitting in light pants and not seeing the girl in the mirror.

I was there, I did that - but a few years ago I made it my goal to stick to simple healthy habits and cut down on my sugary foods because I know how easy it is for my sugar eating habits to get out of control.
Exchanging Processed Sugar With Natural Sugar
My first “sugar reduction” tip actually turns to natural sugars like maple syrup, honey and Medjool dates. These stuffed days for Snickers are a good example of that.
Like I said, Halloween is easy on the corner and seeing those snack-sized sweets when you walk by the grocery store is very tempting! Thankfully, it is easy to make something that tastes good (if not better) with real food ingredients and none of that waste has been processed. I shared these cups of peanut butter, healthy Twix bars and healthy Butterfingers, but today I brought you a healthy Snickers recipe!
Are the Days Healthy?
Amazingly yes! I have a post for everything you need to know about Medjool days if you want to go deeper. However, at a glance, the days ...
they contain natural sugars, but have a low / medium glycemic index due to their good fiber content, which helps to reduce carbohydrate release and give you continuous energy rather than drive your blood sugar high.
they are also naturally low in fat.
they are full of nutrients such as potassium (50% more potassium in weight than bananas), copper, magnesium, vitamin B6, niacin, calcium, iron and vitamin K.
Here's What You Need
This amazing chocolate covered in Snickers days tastes like a Snickers bar and is made with real, complete food ingredients. And you want to know the best part? You only need 5 simple ingredients that you may already have in your kitchen. Here's what you need:
medjool days - you can buy medjool dates already curved or add them yourself (very easy). My two favorite types are Natural Delights and Joolies. You can find Natural Excitement in the product section of many grocery stores (near bananas) and Joolies are offered on Amazon and Thrive Market.
peanut butter - I prefer dripping / running peanut butter but you can use any peanut butter or seed you like. Some of my varieties of peanut butter Crazy Richard’s, Whole Food’s 365 and Wild Friends (use EBF10 with a 10% discount on your order). If you have a peanut allergy, any kind of peanut butter will do!
chopped / crushed nuts - extra pressure for peanut flavor and some texture! Try using different nuts if you have a nut problem to add crunch.
pieces of dark chocolate or chocolate chips - I love Lily chocolate chips with a little sugar option and Enjoy Life chocolate chips with no milk / soy-free option.
coconut oil - this is used to help melt chocolate and helps it to thin, making it easier to soak for days. You can skip it, but your melted chocolate will probably be much bigger. I recommend using pure coconut oil if you do not want any coconut flavor!
How to Make a Full Day for Snickers
If you are having a Halloween party or want to make a delicious dessert with the kids, try these days full of Snickers! This recipe does not get really easy. I will walk you step by step (including mom steps and kids steps!)
1. Cut a hole every day and dig a hole (mom, you can cut a hole and tell your kids to use their fingers to dig holes!).
2. Fill each day with a tablespoon of peanut butter (mom, this step is probably best for you unless you have older children!). Kids, you end up sprinkling each date with groundnuts after they are filled with peanut butter.
3. Kids, discard chocolate chips in a bowl with mom, add coconut oil. Heat until the mixture melts and stir the mixture.
4. This may need to be a team effort unless your children are older. The last step is to take each date full of peanut butter and dip it in chocolate. I used a toothpick to hold the day together while dipping. Rub the covered dates on the skin and place them in the fridge until the chocolate set, about 10 minutes.
5. Enjoy this healthy, delicious meal as a family!
tip!
Use an icing bag or zipper lock and cut the corner to easily fill the days with peanut butter!
Perform One Worship
Do you have a desire for Snickers and want to satisfy them immediately? Make one full Snickers date and indulge yourself instantly! Just use 1 day, 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter, 1 teaspoon of groundnuts and 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate.
How to Keep Dates Full of Snickers
I recommend that you keep this bite in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They should last for up to a week… but I bet they will be gone before then! You can also keep these foods in the fridge for 1-2 months.
